Auto App Killer

Just as the name proclaims, the Auto App Killer automatically kills background apps which consume too much RAM. The tweak is pretty smart and will make sure you will always have enough RAM available for running any application.

There are some configuration settings for the app and you will be able to see that some apps that are closed will be removed from the multitasking menu as well. The tweaks work well with iOS 6.

These settings allow you to decide which apps to be removed and which are in the blacklist for never being closed. Also, there is a option for setting the amount of RAM to be kept free.

You might face some problems on the iPad mini with heavy applications like Chrome not being shown ever in the multitasking menu or an app being shutdown when the lockscreen is activated. You might find it irritating but shutting down an app will save lots of battery and will allow longer use of the device.

The tweak is available for 1$ at the BigBoss repository. The tweak is a little shaky and might have some issues with multitasking apps at random. The tweak isn’t compatible with iPad mini and works only for iOS 5 and 6.
